Be sure to get your spot earlier as the Order of the Polka Dots parade marches through downtown Mobile. The parade begins at 6:30 pm and will follow Route A.

The Conde Cavaliers Parade marks the official start of Mardi Gras in Downtown Mobile this Friday, January 25th at 6:30 pm. The parade will begin on Claiborne St. and continue along Route A.

With rich roots dating back to the 1700s, Mardi Gras has been a staple season of celebration on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, and this Carnival season is no different. Mardi Gras parades will kick off in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach on Friday, Feb. 8 and will continue through Fat Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Jubilee by the Bay, Inc and Pensacola Mardi Gras will host Pensacola's first Run, Walk or Drag with COLOR 9:00 am THIS Saturday. Participants are doused in Mardi Gras colors throughout the course.

Mardi Gras continues on Dauphin Island this coming Saturday with the Island Mystics Parade. Starting at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, the parade will travel west on Bienville Boulevard and end at the Dauphin Island Elementary School. The parade kicks off at 1:00pm.

Dauphin Island was the past to be this Saturday as the locals kicked off Mardi Gras for Mobile County. The Krewe De La Dauphine parade drew a great crowd of all ages. 95KSJ's Dan & Shelby were there to participate in the parade and to take pictures.

With so much fun to be had during Mardi Gras season, we some times forget some of the simple steps that can be taken to stay safe. The Mobile Police Department has provided the following infomration and safety tips to ensure that your Mardi Gras experience is safe and fun.
